Funability Meeting!

| | Comments (0)

This Friday, Freeverse tried something new. See, as we expand and change, our methods have to expand and change as well.

We have several small teams all hard at work on different titles (Flick Fishing, Warpgate, Flick Baseball, and other awesome stuff). Sometimes we get so engrossed in our work we miss what the rest of the office is working on.

Bruce's team is hard at work on Warpgate, and they hit a very significant milestone the other day. They finished all the navigation in the game (it's really quite an in-depth project). However, as they have been living and breathing Warpgate for 2 months now, they not only knew the ins and outs of the game but also need some fresh eyes. Thursday night everyone in the office checked out the latest version of Warpgate and took it home to play. Friday afternoon the entire office huddled around our conference room table. Everyone, from the Vice President of the company to our summer QA interns.

We call this a Funability Meeting.

Many companies have beta testing or try to make sure a game's vision stays intact. Combining these principals, we've decided to implement these Funability Meetings as a way to all come together, share feedback, ideas and opinions, ensuring that our games will have the most impact possible.

...and what do you know! It was fun.
